Lakeside Campground is a popular base camp for exploring Isle Royale. The campground has 55 sites, restroom facilities, and drinking water access. Sites are distributed first-come, first-served; arrive early in peak season.

No reservation system. Arrive early during peak season — the campground fills most summer weekends.

Campground Rules

Quiet hours are 10pm to 6am. Maximum stay is 14 nights per year. All food must be stored in bear-resistant containers or a locked vehicle. Ground fires permitted in designated rings only. Pack out all trash. Generators allowed 8am–8pm only.
